A few videos from Lucca
We've settled in to our place in Lucca, we'll be here for two weeks, and fortunately it's the biggest and nicest place we booked (some of our other airbnbs were tiny).
Here's a few videos from the first couple days. The first one is a tour of the apartment:
Our second night we climbed to the top of one of the local towers for sunset, the one with a little garden on top. You can see it out our window, and so while we were on top watching the sunset, I took this video that's zoomed in on our apartment.
One day while we were just hanging out, we heard this violin music from outside (Note from Vanessa: Tristan was just hanging out, I was working :). We're at the corner of two of the busier streets, and a musician had set up on the corner and was playing, he was out there for an hour or so. It was a beautiful day to have the windows open and enjoy the music.
Lucca is a walled city, but unlike a lot of the hill towns, it's down on a flat plain. So it doesn't have tall rock walls all around, it has huge fortifications. The walls are probably 100' thick in most places and 30' high. It's so big that they turned the top of the entire wall in to a park/bike path that goes completely around the city. It's a beautiful place to go for a walk, and there's also lots of little shops that will rent you a bike, or these little two-seat bike/cart things. It takes about 40-60 minutes to pedal around the wall, going at a leisurely pace, which is pretty much the only option :)
I just watched the first video. How many Vanessas did you bring on this trip?
