Milano
Most people we talked to about Milan didn't rave about it, so we didn't have high expectations but we ended up really enjoying it.
Milano Centrale
There was a beautiful park very close to our hotel that had such a wide variety of trees I would have thought it was an arboretum.
Any park with a monkey puzzle tree gets five stars in my book.
Duomo di Milano
We were only in Milan for two nights so the one touristy thing we did was climb the Duomo.
Our favorite part was watching the Instagramers perform to get their shot.
And checking out the styles of Milan while we waited in line. We saw a lot of black. And leather. And black leather.
The Duomo features 135 spires.
And apparently too many pinnacles to count.
Nailed it.
Milan had a great public transportation system which included these fun old trolleys.
We also loved the wide streets and ornate buildings with greenery spilling off their balconies.
There are a few clothing stores there too I guess.
Our little hotel garden.
Milan was a very nice city that doesn't seem to attract or cater to tourists the way the other big cities of Italy do. Seems like it would be a good city to live in.
